With the multitude of channels out there in 2020, the Create Once, Publish Everywhere concept stresses the importance of repurposing content over multiple channels. This might include:
- Blog
- Several social media networks
- eNewsletter
- Printed materials
- Other (digital) channels that are relevant
I prefer the blog as the centerpiece and then content is reformatted from there. That doesn’t mean that we always link back to the blog, but that we use the blog content as a starting point.
Sometimes it’s cut up as tweets or an image is shared on Pinterest, for example. Other times, a summary of the article might be posted on LinkedIn or in an eNewsletter.
The key to creating once, publishing everywhere is to find the most effective use of content for all channels.
